About Us

Introduction

Caeau Ty’n Talwrn – is the Anglesey District Scout Council Campsite. It is situated in the village of Talwrn on the beautiful Island of Anglesey off the coast of North Wales. The site comprises of six fields and a small derelict cottage and forms part of Caeau Talwrn Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). We manage the site with assistance from Natural Resources Wales and are fortunate to be able to lease the site off Llanffinan Church for camping and other Scouting activities. There are no buildings or showers on the site, but we do have fresh flowing Welsh water (from a tap!) and two portaloos, so the site is part campsite and part greenfield.

Detailed Information

Caeau Ty’n Talwrn is available to Scouts, Guides, Youth Groups, Schools and Education Organisations. It is not available for private bookings, nor are we allowed caravans, trailer tents or motorhomes on the site. The camping fields are available between Easter and the end of September each year. Winter or Frost Camps are permitted by appointment so as not to affect any Autumn / Winter site maintenance activities. We have a limit on the total number of persons at the centre at any one time due to parking restrictions and space, so as not to overstretch resources, this is normally 50 people. If you have special requirements you would like to discuss, please email us.
